Richard Garcia

Richard A. Garcia, 55, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at his home in San Angelo. He was born April 2, 1956 in Brownfield to Ramon and Ramona Garcia and grew up in Brownfield and San Angelo. He graduated from high school in Muleshoe. He worked with his brother-in-law in California. Richard loved children and was very involved in little league baseball.

There will be a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home with Deacon Abel Fernandez officiating. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Monsignor Voity. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his mother Ramona Garcia of San Angelo; sisters: Lupe Contreras of San Angelo, Irene Campos of San Angelo, Ruby Diaz of San Angelo, Dora Islas of Houston, Rosemary Ramos of Houston, Caroline Neisy of Houston, and Mary Acevedo of Houston; brothers: Carlos Garcia of San Angelo, Raymond Garcia of San Angelo, Marcos Garcia of Houston, and Jo Garcia of Houston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Oddyssey Hospice and Dr. Jurado and his nurses from Dialysis for all of their care and generosity.
