I have so many memories of dad. Sitting on his lap when I was little, waiting for him by the big oak tree at the end of the driveway in Holman Wisconsin, dancing with him to Time In A Bottle on my 21st birthday. Just sitting with him and talking these last few years. He always asked about the kids and grandkids. I was talking to him Friday night, and he was asking about them all. I wasn't "Daddy's princess", but I know without a doubt that he loved me and I love him dearly. I will miss him terribly. Rest in peace Dad. I know you are healthy and not hurting anymore. I love you.

Dick sure loved his "Little" as he called our dog. I would hear him talking, ask if he was talking to me and the answer would be, "I'm talking to Little." He would tell her stories.

I have so many memories of my Dad. I remember vividly the day he walked me down the aisle to give me away to my husband of 32yrs while jokingly placing bets on how long we would last. Dad was seriously a wonderful man, he stood by Mom, and all 5 of us Children through thick and thin teaching us how a man should live. Love you and see you in Heaven.

Dick was my brother-in-law. When I was in college in the Chicago area I would travel home to the La Crosse Wisconsin area and often stop at what I would call the “Schmidt house“ on the way. Inevitably, I would pull into the driveway about 3 1/2 quarts low on oil. Dick would give me all manner of good humored crap about that but he always helped me out and got my car roadworthy again. He was a big man, with a big heart. He will be missed.

As a brother in law I had many laughs with Dick when he lived in Sun Prairie, WI. Maybe a few too many on occasion but what fun. He loved his wife and his kids. His memory will be cherished...
