Robbie Ann Haggard

Family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Sunday, October 27th at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A service honoring Robbie’s life will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, October28th at College Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Lakan Mariano officiating.

Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Robbie was born May 17, 1932 to Harmon and Hattie Easterwood in Itasca, Texas. The family moved to Lubbock where she met the love of her life, R.L. “Rudy” Haggard in the 8th grade. In June 1950 after their senior years at Lubbock High School they were married.

Robbie was given six (6) months to live at the young age of 28- with two (2) small children at home and a man she loved with all her soul – she won the battle. Robbie then started a home day care, where she could cook all day for Rudy and give Susan lots of playmates. Later, Robbie found her true calling in banking. She worked in every aspect of a bank ending her career after 15 years of service with Wells Fargo Bank. Robbie loved and cared for each one of her customers as if they were family – it was the only way she knew. Robbie loved cooking and gardening and did both well.

Robbie was preceded in death by her beloved Rudy Haggard, a daughter Cheryl Hollon, her parents Harmon and Hattie Easterwood, two sisters Harmalou Howell and Jackie Beadle, and brothers Vernon and Jack Easterwood.

Robbie is survived by her daughter Susan Pulley and Husband Bob of San Angelo, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many wonderful caring nieces and nephews. Her last words were, I Love You.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Bringle, Ryan Connel, Philip Cross, Nelson Word, Rex Stephenson and Micah Mariano.

A very special thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at Sagecrest Alzheimer’s Facility. You were incredible in your care and love of Robbie. The family request memorials be made in Robbie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers. This cruel, cruel disease must be cured.
