

Roger M. Dailey died Sunday, June 5, 2011. Roger was born August 2, 1929 in Olive Hill, Kentucky. In 1948, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base. It was in San Angelo that he met the love of his life – Margaret Pustka. They married November 27, 1952. He and Margaret have lived their entire life together in San Angelo, where he worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1984.
Roger enjoyed camping and fishing. He and Margaret were members of several dance clubs and spent many hours playing cards with their friends. During his retirement years, he and Margaret spent much of their time with their grandchildren as well as traveling to Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, and daughter Rhonda Holik and husband Ruben, of Wall, and son Mark Dailey and wife Janette, of San Angelo. Roger was affectionately known as “Papaw” by his five grandchildren: Jason Holik (Shyanne), Josh Holik, and Haley Holik of Wall, and Victoria and Brianna Dailey of San Angelo. Two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Jaxon Holik, also survive him. He is also survived by one brother, Walter Dailey of Valley City, Ohio, and a sister Inez Nolen of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He will be joining his parents and two brothers, Tyndal and Webster Dailey, in eternal peace.
The family would like to thank the staff at Senior Care Center for their care and support. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
