Rose Ellen Russell

A celebration of her life is at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Hassell of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Rose was very strong in her religion. She has been a member of First Baptist Church in San Angelo since 1956. She also liked to help others that were less fortunate than her. In 1984, she and her husband Rayburne joined the group Texas Baptist Men. They built churches for lower income areas. Rose also made sure to take care of her family and children. She was a mother that went to every PTA meeting even though she worked full time job. Her last job was with SAISD.

She was preceded by her parents and her oldest son Danny Russell. Survivors include her husband Rayburne Russell; son Robert Russell ; and two grandsons Toby Russell and Tyler Russell.
