Rosemary J. Brown

Rosemary J. Brown, age 88, of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Rosemary was born January 31, 1929, in San Angelo, to Edith and Ed Johnson. She married William D. Brown in Midland, Texas on October 22, 1986. They later moved from Midland to Lake Leon, and then to San Angelo in 1998. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, two sisters and brother. She is survived by her sons: Steve Van Hoozer and wife, Sue; Stan Van Hoozer and wife, Lori; and Ken Van Hoozer and wife, Janna. Rosemary is also survived by her grandchildren, Emily and Jason Bush, Sam Van Hoozer, Rachel Van Hoozer and fiancée, Josh Goode, Kendra and Jonathon Carreon, and Courtney and Brian Kuykendall; and by her great grandchildren, Caleb and Leah Bush, Camryn Kuykendall, and Jackson and Austin Carreon. A family memorial service will be held at Sierra Vista UMC in San Angelo on Friday, October 6, 2017. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Baptist Retirement Community - Sagecrest, 902 N. Main, San Angelo, Texas 76903. The family would also like to express their thanks to the staff of Sagecrest for their care of Rosemary for the past four years.
