Ruby Florene Morrison

Florene Morrison, 90, of Southlake formerly of San Angelo joined the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Southlake, Texas. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy King officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Florene was born August 31, 1920 in Ranger, Texas to J.C. Russell and Ada Belle Howard Russell. She attended San Angelo College and lived most of her life in San Angelo. Florene married Billie Tom Morrison on November 10, 1942 in San Angelo, TX and they shared 41 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a loving and caring sister, wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to taking care of her family. Florene was also devoted to the Lord and she loved her church family at Johnson Street Church of Christ where she was an active member for many, many years. Florene was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lucille Clem, Lanell Albert, and Doris Jourdan, and three brothers, Ray Russell, Gerald Russell, and Cecil Russell. She is survived by her loving family, Sons, Russell “Rusty” Morrison and his wife Kathy, of Spring, TX and Michael Morrison and his wife Ramona, of Keller, TX; 4 Grandchildren, Kimberly Gold, Kari Morrison, Cody Morrison and Jeff Jetton; 2 Great Grandchildren; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews and other family members and close friends.
