

Rudolph Leonard Olson, 95, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in a local nursing home. Rudolph was born on April 19, 1918, in the town of Lesser, Wis., to Cornelius and Mary Olson. Mr. Olson joined the Army and worked in the Army Signal Corps. After being honorably discharged, Rudolph married the love of his life, Edna Wright, on March 19, 1944. Rudolph and Edna celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in March 2013. Mr. Olson worked as a turbine operator at a paper mill for 35 years living in Green Bay before he retired. Rudolph lived in Green Bay for 56 years. He served on the church council and was very active at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Velda Dvorak; six brothers Oliver, Harvey, Clarence, James, Myrel and Melvin Olson; and one daughter-in-law, Susan Olson. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife, Edna Olson; one son, Dr. Leonard Olson and wife Glenda; two sisters, Hazel Malueg and Rose Krause; and many nieces and nephews.
