

Sam was born on July 2, 1931 in San Angelo to Charlie Wyatt and Zelma Wyatt Hodges. He grew up in San Angelo during the Depression. He loved Country music and was a big fan of Ernest Tubb. He even saw him perform here in town on the back of a beer truck. Sam loved to sing and was a great singer. His faith in Jesus Christ was very important to him as he was an active member of Central Faith Baptist Church. Sam worked for 20 plus years at Terrill’s Manufacturing as a Warehouse Manager. During these last few years he gained a lot of friends at Central Texas Nursing Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leo Wyatt, grandson David Eugene Fairchild, and his second wife Louise Wyatt. Survivors include his children: Danny Wyatt, Sandra Wilkins and husband Rodger, Debra Estes and Jay Sanchez, Juanita Wyatt and Tim Miller, and David Wyatt and wife Carol; sisters Billie Wyatt Thompson and Jackie Hodges Thompson and husband Kenny; eight grandkids; ten great-grandkids; and a special friend Evelyn Wyatt.
