Sarai Del Carmen Herrera

Sarai Del Carmen Herrera, 20, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Christoval, Texas. She was born to Luciano Herrera Barajas and Maria Macias Rojas on December 22, 1994 in Zephyrhills, Florida. Sarai worked as a Certified Nurses Aide in Sonora, Texas and at several nursing homes in San Angelo. She was a caring and loving person who could light up any room with her smile. She was known for her unique laughter and gift for always making everyone’s day better. Some of her favorite ways to spend time were fishing, cookouts, family gatherings, road trips, swimming, gardening and spending time with her friends and her dog, Khloe. She was a great aunt to her niece and nephew. Sarai was a member of the JROTC, Step Dance and Spirit Team at Lakeview High School, where she graduated in 2013. Sarai’s outgoing nature and love of life will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her parents, Luciano Herrera Barajas and Maria Macias Rojas; sister, Noemi Ruth Charles and her husband, Mario Rodriguez Charles, Jr.; Brother, Emmanuel Luciano Herrera; Niece, Jocelyn Makayli Charles; Nephew, Johnathan Xavier Charles; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Prayer services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 16, 2015 in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2015 in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo.
