Shirley Ann Rotschafer , 85, of San Angelo, Texas went Home to her Lord and Savior on April 5th, 2023. She was born on April 3rd, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Wayne and Lu Nelson. She was raised on the family farm in Sacred Heart, Minnesota, with her 3 siblings.
Shirley graduated from Minnesota Business School in 1957 as a certified Medical Technician and Phlebotomist. She soon met the love her life Robert (Bob) Rotschafer and they were married October 15th, 1960. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years together. Shirley and Bob travelled all across the country, while Bob was employed with Osco Drug until finally making San Angelo their home in 1979. Shirley spent her life as a homemaker, serving her family as the best wife, mother, and grandmother there could ever be. Shirley was known for the positive attitude she always radiated. She had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, and was known to shine the light of Jesus Christ wherever she went. She was the picture of optimism, no matter the situation she always found a way to be thankful and grateful.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Rotschafer and her parents Wayne and Lu Nelson.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Hepner (Allyn) of San Anglo; son Kirk Rotschafer of San Angelo; granddaughters Stephanie Morris (Daniel) of San Angelo; Allyson Eastman (Kevin) of Midland; great grandchildren Brenyn Morris, Carsyn Morris, Kase Eastman, Kelby Eastman; sister Twyla Reinstra (Dave) of Deep Haven, MN; sister Jean Jordet of Minnetonka, MN; Brother Tim Nelson (Jan) of Renville, MN; Siter in-laws Dorothy Rotschafer, and Joan Rotschafer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at 2:00, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation to be held Monday April 10th from 5:00-7:00, at Johnson's Funeral Home.
