Shirley J. Silmon

Shirley was born on May 27, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas to Alton and Marie Kirkland.

She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Ric Hill, of Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her husband Sam Silmon of San Angelo; a son, Randy Hill, of Santa Clarita, CA; a daughter, Reedine Yarbrough, of Rockwall, TX; and a brother, Carlan Kirkland, of Allen, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Kristin Hubbard of Denton, TX, Matt Hill of Abilene, TX, and Ashlee Holstrom and Dylan Yarbrough, of Rockwall, TX; and seven great-grandchildren.

Shirley was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend. She lived her life by her Christian values and set a wonderful example for all who knew her. Although Shirley will be greatly missed, she will live forever in our hearts.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Charles Williams and Chaplain Jim Benson officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
