Sidney "Charlie" Charles Blanton

Sidney Charles “Charlie” Blanton of Water Valley, passed away on June 8, 2023. He was born on February 14, 1967 in Sweetwater, Texas to Beverly Sharp Beatty. Charlie attended Oak Grove High School in Arkansas and graduated in the class of 1985. He married DeeAnna Perry-Sellards on June 15, 2013 and gained 2 sons, Sterling and Dakota. Charlie had a passion for motorcycles and classic cars, he will always be remembered for his big heart and charisma that allowed him to become instant friends with everyone he met. He was also an avid animal lover and spoiled many dogs in his life including his current puppies; Whiskey & Ginger. Charlie was preceded in death by his father Walter Blanton; his grandparents Buddy and Margaret Sharp; his cousin Rona Thames; his uncle Danny Hobson and his beloved dog Elmo. Those left to cherish his life are his wife DeeAnna Blanton; his parents John and Beverly Beatty; his siblings Paul Sturdivant and wife Jerra; his children Sterling Sellards and wife Jale, Dakota Sellards and bonus sons; A.J., Brandon, Jaxton and Caleb; nieces and nephews, Tye Holley and wife Kim, Tanna Holley and Dom, Caleb Sturdivant and Holly and many family members and friends. Charlie loved everyone deeply and was loved by so many. The family takes joy in knowing he is now healed and enjoying playing bubbles with Elmo. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held June 17, 2023 at the Events Center in Gail, Texas. A meal will be served at 12:00 with the celebration following at 2:00. Everyone is invited to attend both. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to a local animal shelter.
