Susan was a shining light who taught others about unconditional love. Despite facing lifelong health challenges, she enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved wearing jewelry and was always putting cute clips in her hair. She had the heart of a child and would laugh and giggle at everything. She loved her great nieces and nephews and enjoyed doing arts and crafts with them. Susan lived in a group home, but she looked forward to her weekends at her family home. Susan was her mother's pride and joy and she loved wearing her mom's clothes and jewelry while she was at the family home for the weekend.
Susan was cherished by her family. She is survived by her parents, Johnnie & Elvira Barron: her siblings, Emma Hernandez (Roger), Gloria Barron, Martha Martinez (Bobby), Ruth Perez all of San Angelo, and Lea Henderson of San Antonio, TX.
Susan is preceded in death by her sister Consuelo Barron and her great, great nephew Mason Martinez.
Susan was loved by her family and left behind 9 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and 2 great, great nieces and nephews. They had a special place in her heart and learned so much from them. She taught them that even if life was not easy, that there is beauty in every day of our lives and that we are to live every day in victory.
A special thank you to the staff at Daybreak and MHMR for taking special care of her.
The family wishes to thank you-for all your prayers and appreciate the support in this difficult time.
