Teresa Elaine Johnson

Teresa Elaine Johnson, 55, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was born on September 20, 1967 in San Angelo, Texas to Billie Williams Brown and Hal Truman Johnson. Teresa graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, then began her career at Ethicon, then moved to work at San Angelo State School as a caregiver for the mentally challenged and handicapped. Teresa married Leon Johnson in 1991, she had 2 children. Teresa was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and gave her life to Christ at a young age. She will always be remembered for her cooking and baking, online shopping, love of horror movies, vintage games, cartoons and a loving but feisty straight forward personality. Teresa was preceded in death by her mother Billie Jean Brown; grandmothers Olvis Pullen Williams and Arquilla Johnson; grandfathers Jesse Williams, Sr. and Edward Johnson, Sr.; aunts Alberta Blakey, Gladys Bolden and Bernice Wesley and uncle Edward Johnson, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory are her father Hal Truman Johnson (Mary); stepfather Roger Brown; 2 sons Edward Le’Aurion Johnson, III and Glenn Oliver Willis, Jr.; brother James Johnson (Barbara); sisters Melinda Brown and Dottie Mitchell; godsons Xavier Mitchell, Sr., James Mitchell and Xavier Mitchell, Jr.; nieces Chelsye Johnson and Jaisah (the Queen) Johnson; nephews Khalil Johnson (Makayla) and Semaj Johnson; uncle Jesse Williams, Jr. (Donova); aunt Marilyn Lloyd; her fur-baby Lu La Bell and a host of relatives and friends. A home going service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1720 Martin Luther King Dr., San Angelo, TX 76903. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks for all your prayers, messages and thoughts during their time of grief.
