Terrell Fulton Fant, 77, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in San Angelo. The Graveside service will be 2:30 P.M., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Benson officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home. Terrell was born June 11, 1935 in Veribest, Texas to Creed and Annie Lou Hammer Fant. He grew up in Veribest and joined the United States Air Force at a young age where he proudly served his country for 20 years. He married Barbara Joyce Hogan on December 28, 1955 in San Angelo, Texas and they shared 57 wonderful years together. After retirement from the United States Air Force, Terrell then moved back to San Angelo where he worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier and retired from there after 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who devoted his life to his family. Terrell was a hard worker all of his life in anything he did. Working to take care of his family and provide for them was his passion. He also loved to be outdoors and work in his garden and take care of his yard. Terrell had a tremendous sense of humor and he loved to tease everyone and joke around with his family and friends. He also had a special dog “Bubba,” who he loved very much. Terrell will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin J. Fant and one sister, Elizabeth Weathers. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Fant, of San Angelo; two daughters, Kimberly McGee and her husband Paul, of Texarkana, AR, and Cindy Roberts and her husband Don, of Tulsa, OK; 4 Grandchildren, Brandi Hines and her husband Josh, of Russellville, AR, Tiffany McGee, of Forestburg, TX, Weston McCarty, of Denver, CO, and Dylan McCarty and his wife Katie, of Tulsa, OK; 2 Great Grandchildren, Hunter Hines and Holden Hines, both of Russellville, AR; one Sister, Allene Robinson and her husband Tommy, of Bridgeport, TX; one brother, Creed B. Fant, of Miles, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
