She was born October 13, 1934 in Fisher County to John Allen and Viola (Dulin) Cavitt. About 1937, A.Z. Decker became her dad for the rest of her life.
Thantha attended school in Merkel and received her diploma on May 13, 1955.
She worked for Bahlman Cleaners and Del-Tex in San Angelo; Furr’s Grocery in Abilene for 16 years as a cashier and for M-Systems for 5 years. Thantha married Charles Wayne Hollums on October 28, 1950 in Abilene. She was a proud member of the Woodlawn Church of Christ in Abilene. She had a passion for country and western dancing, singing, reading, sweets, Dr. Pepper and loved dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son, Larry Wayne Hollums and a half-sister, Betty Cavitt.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Leigh Boyd, and Trena Suzanne Wilson and husband, William Guy Wilson; grandsons, Michael Gene and Deana Suzanne Krammer and Shawn Lee and Lauren Genese Wilson; granddaughters, Heather Rae Edmonds, Amanda Leigh and Jayson Charles Gonzales, Jennifer Shae and Jeremy Don Polk and Nicki Hollums; great grandchildren: Jayson L. Gonzales, Isaac A. Gonzales, Daisy L. Gonzales, Ethan Edmonds, Natalie Edmonds, Aaron Edmonds, Emma Edmonds, Caleb Brett Wilson, Lane Garrick Wilson, Trent Lee Wilson, Kyndal Reese Wilson, Jeremiah Dylan Polk, Brooklyn Elizabeth Polk, Grayson William Polk, Colton R. Krammer, Axton Drake Weinkauf, William C. Walker, Da’nae L. Kuhlman, Audrey L. Kuhn, Morgan C. Kuhn, and seven great great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, November 22nd at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo. Interment with Tommy South (Linda South, cousin to Thantha) officiating will be 1 pm Monday, November 23rd at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
