Thomas Nuel George

Funeral services for Thomas will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Don Audrey of The First Church Of The Nazarene officiating on August 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with burial afterwards in Mullins Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 5-7 P.M.

Thomas was the son of James H. and Girda George. He was one of eight children that lived in Slaton, TX and Paris, TX, before moving with his family to San Angelo. Thomas attended San Angelo Lakeview High School and later joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years. Thomas worked with his brothers Wilburn and Dial in construction for a number of years.

Thomas married Billie Jack Hudnall February 6, 1948. They were wed after four months of dating and recently celebrated 64 years of marriage. Thomas was a faithful member of The First Church Of the Nazarene for many years.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son Galen, and brothers James, Henry, Dial, Wilburn and Don.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Billie Jack, son Mark and wife Cindy, grandsons Jared and Ethan George; sisters Betty Morgan and Barbara Snider; sisters-in-law Margie George, Polly George and Ernestine Kapavik; and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerry George, Billy Tucker, John Paul Lee, Sheldon Gilley, Alan Cooper, and Willie Montez.
