Travis Renee Smith

Jesus said –“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Our beloved daughter, grand-daughter, sister, niece, and special friend Travis Renee (TR) Smith of San Angelo, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 20, 2010. Travis was born August 26, 1971 in Edinburg, Texas and was the daughter of Roderick (Rod) and Kay Smith. She was baptized May 4, 1978 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McAllen, Texas. Travis was a 1989 Honors Graduate of Brackettville High School, Brackettville, Texas. She earned her RN Bachelor of Science degree from Angelo State University. In 1993 Travis worked for many years at San Angelo Community hospital and later as a travelling nurse in hospitals all over the U.S.

Travis was preceded in death by her uncle Phillup L. Smith and her grandmothers Peggy L. Raab and Nellie G. Atha.

Travis is survived by her parents Rod and Kay Smith, her grandfathers Travis J. Raab all of San Angelo, and Richard D and Donna Smith of Pharr Texas, her sister Anastacia Nicole Epperson and family of Birmingham, Alabama, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of very special friends and caring colleagues.

Travis’ smile and wit lit her face and brightened the world for many. Her gentle touch and caring heart was a comfort for the many lives she touched ad she will be exceedingly missed.

Friends are welcome to the Smith home, 3309 Valleyview Blvd. San Angelo, Texas. A memorial service will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church, San Angelo, Texas with Reverend Kurt Fangmeier officiating.
