Van was born May 9, 1941 in San Angelo to Hezzie and Bernice Carson. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, CPA, property manager of the River Terrace Condominiums, avid supporter of the arts, supporting member of SAMFA, SACC, San Angelo Symphony, Cactus Jazz Series, National Audubon Society, World Wildlife Fund, NRA, formerly treasurer for the Fort Concho Museum, Concho River Basin Water Conservancy Association, Native Plant Society, SA Area School Foundation, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, active participant in local government, water and property rights advocate.
He is survived by daughter and son in law Allie and David Devereaux; son Ted Carson, sister Sandy Bernie, and 6 grandchildren.
The family extends their thanks for the support from Hospice of San Angelo and many caring friends.
