

Vina Lee Benton Bruton, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis J. & Lady Kate Benton and her husband Wilbert Bruton and sister Sarah Williams.
Vina was born April 13, 1929 in San Angelo. She was born in her parent’s home on East 21st St and other than a brief stay in Ft. Worth never lived more than 3 miles from her childhood home.
Vina married the love of her life, Wilbert Bruton after graduation from Lake View High School. They were married January 30th, 1947 and were married 48 years until his death April 4, 1995.
She and Wilbert, along with Wilbert’s brother Ted started Wilbert Bruton’s Used Cars in 1954. The business expanded to include Bruton “Easy Pull” Trailer Sales, Inc.
Throughout her life she was devoted to her family and the family business, which she and Wilbert built into a successful corporation. During this time Vina hauled her children to Jr. Rodeos all over Texas and New Mexico. She also loved to fish with her sister Sarah. Vina will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness and generous spirit.
Her loving family consisted of three children and their spouses. They are Kathy & Parks Tucker of San Angelo, Texas, Kerry and Kay Bruton of Christoval, Texas and Cindy & Mitch Waters of Flower Mound, Texas. Four grandchildren are Zane Bowers and wife Lisa of Wall, Katrina Huffstutler and husband Brandon of Electra, Texas and Ryan Tucker and Parks Tucker IV of McGregor & Troy, Texas respectively. Two great grandchildren Baize Bowers and Bray Bowers of Wall, her nieces and nephews include Linda Williams, Mark and Ginger Bruton, Bruce & Donna Bruton and Blake Bruton.
Pallbearers are Bruce Bruton, Mark Bruton, Lee Friend, Ernie Martinez, Rodney Floyd & Larry Irvin.
We wish to express our thanks to the following people who helped us through this most difficult time Dorothy Knight, Wave Stokes, Lee & Debra Friend, Dr. Carl Anderton, Ernie Marinez and Hospice of San Angelo.

Visitation will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3rd from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Services will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 4th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
