Services for Wanda Mae Hicks Brown,82, will be at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Meadows Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. in East Lawn Cemetery in Early also on Tuesday. Mrs. Brown went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 23, 2013 surrounded by her family in San Angelo. She was born August 3, 1931 in Knox City, TX to L.D. and Odessa (Sibley) Hicks. She was a homemaker and an active member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband William J. Brown; two sons Gary Henderson and wife Heidi, of New Braunfels and Lonnie Brown of San Antonio; a daughter Charisse Henderson of Austin; ten grandchildren, Kimberly Fischer, Angela Torres, Jessica McMillan all of San Antonio, Jason Henderson of Schertz, Kollyn McWhinney of New Braunfels, Mickel Perkins of Brownwood, Mickay Welch of Midland and Marie, Angela, and Sarah Hoffman all of New Braunfels; two brothers Bob Hicks and wife Mona and Dwayne Westfall and wife Pat all of San Angelo; nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Candius Brown; a son Tim Brown; her father L.D. Hicks; her parents Opie and Odessa Westfall; sisters Billie D. Wheat and Jane Cloud; brothers Don Westfall and Wayne Westfall. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Baptist Memorial Hospice of San Angelo.

I knew Wanda for a short time, but in the time she really touch my heart and was such a blessing. At church she always had a smile, and wanted a hug. Such a sweet family. Praying for the family!

Aunt Wanda always had the sweetest smile and her eyes would dance when she laughed! She persevered through life after losing two children, and finished strong as a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a joyous reunion in heaven with all her loved ones!
