Willie Margaret Simmons

Margaret Simmons, 88, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013. A visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Mamaw, as she was lovingly called by everyone she knew, was born April 22, 1924, in Mangum, Okla. to Luther and Rosie Lynch. She met the love of her life, Bill Simmons as a teenager, and married him on April 27, 1941, in Mangum, Okla. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Bill Simmons. She is survived by her son, Billy Simmons and wife Karyl; her daughter, Sandy Hurst and husband Danny; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Trinity Fellowship, with the Rev. Ron Miller and Randy Levens officiating. Graveside service will follow in Roby Cemetery in Roby, Texas. Pallbearers will be Kenny McCrea, Bert Pillow, Scott Hebert, Frank Boyce, Cam Ohlemacher and Terry Bryan.
