He is preceded in death by his parents, Santos H. and Barbara Almeida; beloved wife, Isabel G. Almeida and son, Rene Almeida.
He is survived by his children, Abelardo Almeida, Jr (Patricia), Ricardo Almeida (Cynthia Cortez) and Christina Gomez (Eliodoro); daughter in law, Lupe S. Almeida; sisters, Margarita Rodriguez, Matilde Almeida, Maria Magdalena Almeida Lopez; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, 78237 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
