

Adam Eric Salinas Sr., age 51, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2026. Born on September 11, 1974, in San Antonio, Adam was a proud lifelong resident of the city’s Southside, a place he deeply loved and represented with pride throughout his life.
Adam dedicated 23 years of his professional career as a Network Administrator for Fort Sam Houston Independent School District. In his role, he served teachers, staff, and students with patience, clarity, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. Known for his sharp technical mind and commitment to excellence, Adam was always exploring new ideas and technologies to improve systems and move his department forward. His colleagues respected him not only for his knowledge and work ethic, but for the way he communicated complex solutions with patience and understanding.
Beyond his professional life, Adam was a man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed building and riding motorcycles, researching and experimenting with advanced technology, welding and fabricating projects, working on vehicles, carpentry, and mastering the art of barbecue. He was known among family and friends as a true pit master, often bringing people together around good food, laughter, and conversation.
Those who knew Adam will remember him most for his character. He had a remarkable sense of humor and an ability to lift the spirits of anyone around him. Adam had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, included, and valued. He supported others without hesitation, often putting the needs of friends and family ahead of his own. Whether someone needed advice, encouragement, or simply someone to listen, Adam was always there.
He believed in standing by his word, finishing what he started, and walking the path he spoke about. Determined, ambitious, and deeply thoughtful, Adam lived with purpose and integrity. He had a way of grounding people, helping them see clearly when life became overwhelming, and reminding them of their strength and worth. Many remember how he could talk someone through their toughest moments, often with humor, wisdom, and calm perspective.
Adam was also known for his independence and drive. He took pride in building things with his own hands and solving problems on his own, often declining help because he enjoyed the challenge and the satisfaction of completing things himself. His creativity, curiosity, and innovative thinking were evident in everything he pursued.
Above all else, Adam was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His love for his family and the people in his life was constant, genuine, and unwavering.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Diane Chavez; his son, Adam Eric Salinas Jr. and wife Jennifer E. Salinas; and his stepchildren, Matthew J. Salazar Sr., Elijah Chavez and wife Diamond, Joel Chavez and wife Analyssa, Matthew Salazar Jr., Annabelle Salazar, and Nirvana Salazar.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild: Zoey (Anthony) Rios, Jaylani Chavez, Lydia Chavez, and great-grandson Lorenzo Rios.
Adam is survived by his mother, Anita Salinas; his brother, Juan Francisco Salinas Jr. and wife Esther; and his sister, Merlinda Espinosa and husband Jesse. He is also remembered with love by his nieces and nephews: Frank Salinas and wife Cassie, Michael Espinosa and wife Miranda, Yvette Salinas and partner Frank, and Jessica Baca and husband Marvin; along with his grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Jayden Vyas, Rosie Salinas, Frankie Salinas, Nevaeh Baca, Kaylee Baca, Khloe Baca, and Mia Baca.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Salinas, and his mother-in-law, Norma M. Salazar.
Adam also leaves behind countless close friends who were more like family. He built a village of people throughout his life, people he loved, supported, and held close to his heart. His impact on their lives will continue to be felt for generations.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, Texas 78211, on March 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with Words of Remembrance to commence at 6:30 pm.
Adam will be remembered as someone who loved deeply, lived with intention, and gave his whole heart to the people around him. His kindness, humor, strength, and loyalty leave behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
