Although I did not know Mrs. Hargis personally, I do know what a wonderful, kind and gentle woman she was through my friendship with the Wehmeyers. As God embraces her in heaven, may His love embrace you with the peace of knowing she is truly home.

Anyone who knew my Aunt Lee knows how lucky I am to have grown up with the priviledge of her generous and supportive love. It has been said that she loved us all unconditionally and that she had the gift of making each of us feel like a "favorite". I know she made me feel that way. She always greeted me with joy and enthusiasm, and often she would grab my arm and shake me as though seeing me again had inspired a glee in her that was hard to constrain. I always knew that she truly wanted me to be happy and genuinely celebrated whatever happiness came my way. We all will miss Aunt Lee more deeply than words can express, but we are blessed to have her enduring Love woven into the fabric of our lives. Thanks Aunt Lee!

I was deeply saddened to learn that Lee had passed away. She was one of my favorite people in San Antonio. Always opening her home and iceboxto "us hungry boys" right out of college, she maintained that special realtionship and wit with me every time I was lucky enough to see her through the years. 
I will miss her a great deal.

I will pray for Addie and her family. I am a coworker of Jenny Hargis, and I admire her. Obviously from her disposition it seems that she was raised by a loving family. Since I did not have the priviledge to know Addie, I got to know her granddaughter. There will always be a part of Addie that lives on in her kids and grandkids. Many years ago, I would go to Mrs.Hargis' sister's house to work with her husband, Woodsie. I can remember that every day I was there, Mrs. Hargis would come by to pick up her sister, to go to lunch. Both ladies were always dressed to the nines, and obviously enjoyed each other's company immensely. I remember thinking that they were very lucky to be so close at their ages, and that they were such role models of grace. Mrs. Harper would tell me how her sister Lee went daily to visit her husband in a nursing home, and that she was so devoted to him, as Mrs. Harper was to Woodsie. They were such a lovely example of how to love and be loved, and I was touched by both women in the way that they lived their lives. Rest in peace, ladies. Judy Dickey

Mrs. Fitch and Mr. Hargas, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of 'Mammaw'.
