Saspamco, Texas, the 15th of 16 children born to Maria Adelaida and Ruben

She married at age 17 and the union bore six sons (the third, William I, passed away

son, José, became a Court Clerk for the Bexar County Courts and retired after over
20 years of service. Her second son, Edward, served as a combat arms noncommissioned
officer in the United States Army, retiring after 24 years of service,
with participation in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield and attaining the
rank of Master Sergeant. Her third son, Hector, served for 20 years as a noncommissioned
officer in the United States Air Force, and then served as an Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) Civil Service Information Technology Manager attaining the
GS-15 level. Her fourth son, Daniel, served as a commissioned combat arms officer
in the United States Army attaining the rank of Captain; a Special Agent in the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); and an Assistant U.S. Attorney (Federal
Prosecutor) for the Southern District of Texas, retiring after more than 38 years of
public service. Her fifth son, William, served as both a non-commissioned and a
commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, retiring as a commissioned
officer after 30 years of service and attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Adelaida is survived by five sons: José Casanova Rodriguez, Edward Casanova
Rodriguez, Hector Casanova Rodriguez, Daniel Casanova Rodriguez, and William
Casanova Rodriguez II; their wives, dearest friend Ronnie Soele, as well as many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews, who she dearly
loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, William
Casanova Rodriguez I, her 15 brothers and sisters Herlinda, Fernando, Dionesio,
