After she graduated Wellesley College she married Raymond Gainer and they lived in Boston, Massachusetts for many years. They moved to Los Angeles where Addie had a successful career in real estate. After being widowed twice, Addie moved to San Antonio.
When she was 83, she won two gold medals in the Senior Olympics. Addie loved playing Bridge, Poker and Bingo, but most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Elsa Barshop and her son, Vic Gainer; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Addie attributed her longevity to always being interested in what is happening in the world and a good attitude.
Many thanks to the staff at the Forum at Lincoln Heights, her home for the past 21 years.
