Adrian Allen Hernandez, a beloved husband, son, and brother, passed away on July 30, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born on April 20, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas to Gloria E. Hernandez and Oscar G. Hernandez.
Adrian had a passion for home and family. He loved animals and fostered his wife’s passion for rescue. He will be missed by his fur kids, but above all by his girls Ginger and Rosie. He loved working with them, training them and just enjoyed being out with them. Adrian loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. He was happy just sharing a meal, great conversations and a lot of laughs; he loved corny jokes. He was dedicated to his family and extended family, willing to go the extra mile to help when he could. He loved traveling to just about anywhere, particularly to the Western United States, and especially to Las Vegas. He wasn’t a big gambler but enjoyed all of the side trips and activities there.
Adrian was an enthusiast of all history and family ancestry. Many of his local travels through Texas included hunting down documents and details related to the history of his family. He took great pride in validating information and putting the pieces of the family tree together for several generations that came before him. It was always a work in progress and his accomplishments brought him joy and fulfillment.
Adrian dedicated 28+ years of his life to Project STAY, Inc., where his tireless work, compassion, and integrity profoundly impacted the lives of countless individuals and families. To Adrian, this work was more than a career — it was a mission. He poured his heart into helping others, always advocating for those in need and believing in the potential of every person who walked through the door.
Over nearly three decades, Adrian became a cornerstone of the organization and a trusted presence in the lives of so many. Whether guiding young people toward a better path, supporting coworkers through challenges, or helping strengthen the San Antonio community, Adrian’s presence was felt deeply, and his impact will be lasting.
He will be remembered for his humility, dedication, and steady leadership – a man who never sought recognition but whose work changed lives every day. His legacy lives on in the many individuals he mentored, the programs he strengthened, and the community he loved so much.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Diane Denise Osio; parents, Gloria Hernandez and Oscar Hernandez; stepmother, Laura; brothers, Adam Hernandez (Georgia) and Andre Hernandez (Laura); niece, Sophia Hernandez; nephew, Ethan Hernandez; his mother-in-law, Angie Osio, and all of his fur babies. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, other relatives, and two of his best friends, Barney and Darren.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 beginning at 4:00 PM with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave., San Antonio, TX 78212.
