She is survived by her nephew, Steve (Mitzi) Pummer, niece, Barbara Pummer, great-nephews Jesse Pummer and Jason Pummer, and great-niece, Marisa Pummer, her great-great niece, Blair Pummer, as well as a niece and great-nieces and nephews in Canada. She was preceded in death by her mother Camille Corydon, her father John Madden, her sister Jeannine Pummer, and her spouse Pearle Chase.
Adrienne was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She was there during the attack on Pearl Harbor which she remembered vividly. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs. She often spoke fondly of the times when she would visit her aunt and uncle at their home on the island of Kaua’i while growing up.
In the early 60’s she relocated to San Antonio, TX while working with the Civil Service as a radiology technician. She was employed by them until her retirement at age 55. She loved to take cruises and racked up 123 cruises in her lifetime! She liked playing card games, and doing various types of puzzles (but no Sudoku, thank you). She attended St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church for many years.
Adrienne was very ladylike, but she had a sneaky sense of humor that always kept her family on their toes. She was always there if needed, and her presence at her sister’s passing was a blessing for the family. She valued the time she was able to spend with family, as they were not in the area. One of the best visits was when her family rented a beach house in Port Aransas where she particularly loved the daily drives on the beach. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 1701 Austin Highway, at 12 PM on Monday, March 16th. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM immediately followed by internment.
