On the 15th of May in 1975, Alan Adams was born in Hawaii to his parents, Wayne and Linda Adams. Alan, who was a self-proclaimed "Army Brat," went to several schools until graduating from Copperas Cove High School in 1994. He furthered his education by later earning his bachelor’s from the University of Maryland. To say Alan was a firefighter wouldn’t do justice to him, as it was his life for the past 30 years. Whether he was on the job or on his own time, he was always ready to assist when needed. While he held the position of District Chief for the JBSA Fire and Emergency Service, his real work was rooted in demonstrating leadership, being a mentor, and passion for being an EMT instructor. He was a veteran who honorably served in the Air Force from Mar. 1995 to Oct. 2001. During his time in the Air Force, Alan was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and many more accolades. After serving in the military, Alan continued to achieve success; he was awarded the Civilian Exemplary Service Medal and won the Civilian of the Quarter Award four times.
Alan is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Adams, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Alan is survived by his father, Alan “Wayne” Adams; his sister, Jennifer Adams Matthews (Roy); his niece, Emma; his nephew, Colton; his feline son, Ares; and his loving girlfriend, Joi Polve.
The pallbearers will be Cliff Martinez, Danson Hensley, Ted Pastrano, AJ Garcia, Ryan Thompson, Chris Ruiz, Eric Watkins, and John Harvey, and the honorary pallbearers will be Omar Perez and Jesse Rico.
