Albert L. Teel

He was born Nov. 26, 1938, in Raymondville, TX, the son of Francis and Essie Teel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul Teel; and his faithful wife of 49 years, Doris Teel.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Valerie Layne, and her husband, Andrew of Philadelphia, PA; brother, David Teel of San Antonio; sisters, Lois, and her husband, Ed Bowers of Omaha, NE., Pauline and her husband, Tommie Turner of Sherman, TX., Evelyn and her husband, Billy Carlisle of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert dedicated his life to a career in law enforcement and retired from the San Antonio Police Department after 35 years of service. In addition, Albert served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1956 thru 1962, and then became a member of the Texas Air National Guard from 1983 thru 1998 where he retired as a Tech. Sgt.

He is remembered for his love of flying and devotion to his career in service to his community and country.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
