
She was born July 7, 1916 in Walton, Kansas to Peter and Ruth Hawk Neuman. She died July 9, 2011 at Vitas Hospice Center at Morningside Manor in San Antonio.
She attended Friends University in Wichita and Emporia State Teacher's College in Emporia. Mrs. Huber taught Elementary School in several rural Kansas schools before and during WWII.
She married Manly C. Huber, a School Principal October 20, 1945. They lived in Winfield where Professor Huber taught Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy for 28 years at Southwestern College, a United Methodist College. Together they were very active in the United Methodist Churches wherever they lived.
Alberta was especially proud that her son became a Teacher/School Administrator and her daughter became a United Methodist Pastor.
She was preceded in death by her husband and infant daughter, Janice Marie as well as 2 sisters and a brother.
Alberta is survived by her son, Paul M. Huber and wife, Jane Janssen-Huber of Wolfpoint, MT; daughter, Ruth E. Huber-Rohlfs and husband, Claus H. Rohlfs, Jr.; grandchildren, Erika Rohlfs Wheeler and husband, DeWayne of Arlington, TX, Kristin Rohlfs Markley and husband, Justin of Durango, CO, Joe Huber and wife Sue of Oceanview, CA, Mike Huber and wife, Brittany of Bozeman, MT, Bernard Huber of Williston, ND; great-grandchildren, Ashley Wheeler Spivey, Dustin Wheeler, Lukas Neuman Markley, Rebekah Markley, Elly Frickle, Adrian Charles Huber and Casandra Clayton Huber; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A family service will be held at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS on August 6, 2011; her son-in-law and Pastor, the Reverend Claus H. Rohlfs, Jr. will officiate as a reflection of the tremendous love and care he has shared with Alberta.
