

Alberta Yrisarri Mischer, age 103, passed away at home on Monday, January 18, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born on December 12, 1912 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Joseph and Alberta Yrisarri. Alberta attended Lady of the Lake University and was the first woman officer of a national bank, Main National Bank, in San Antonio. She had been a member of the Optimist Club in San Antonio her entire life and still was at the time of her passing. She also served as President of the Optimist-Mrs club for several terms. Alberta was the first woman in the State of Texas to pass the American Society of Life Underwriters Exam, which qualified her to broker life insurance.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Matthew Brown and Elmer Mischer. Alberta is survived by step-children: Terrye Kohutek, Don Mischer and wife Suzan and his children: Jennifer Mischer, Heather Godsey and husband Neil, Charlie Mischer, and Lilly Mischer; Doug Mischer and wife Ann and his children: Monica Garza-Mischer, Mike Mischer- wife Milissa, Michele Mischer and husband Stephen; niece Mary-Jo and her son Jacob Piruzmand, nephew George Stateson, and nephew Joseph Yrisarri Stateson and his sons: Keith Stateson, Brian Stateson, Jonathan Stateson-wife Morgan, Joseph Stateson and his grandson Tristan Stateson
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
