He is preceded in death by mother Anita C. Luna, Stepfather Jose Luna, brothers Jaime, Felix, and Samuel Carvajal, Jose V. Luna and sister Josefina Luna.
He is survived by son Albert Lucas Carvajal IV, daughters Christine Carvajal (Daniel Rohletter) of Columbus, OH. and Rosario L. Rosas (Javier Rosas Jr.) of Aguadulce, TX. daughter to Connie Lopez. Grandchildren Johanna and Joe J. Rosas III.
Alberto was the oldest of 9 siblings.
Surviving brothers Ramon and Manuel Carvajal, sisters Rosita S. Escobedo(Roberto), Mary Jane Luna, and numerous nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces.
Mr.Carvajal graduated from Fox Tech high school in 1959.
He served honorably in the U.S Army with 19 months overseas duty in Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands, where he was selected “Soldier Of The Month '' with an instant promotion to E-4. He was awarded the “Good Conduct Medal'' after honorable discharge from active duty.
Upon his return to civilian life, he married Gloria Lucio Carvajal from 1965-1986. He worked for the American National Insurance for 12 yrs. And for mostly the remainder of his life, he worked in the convenience store industry in various roles as manager, supervisor and clerk until 2022.
Mr. Carvajal felt his existence in life was fulfilled with the birth of his children.
The family will receive friends on September 27th at Trevino Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited starting at 7pm.
Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
