She was born in San Antonio to parents, Vernon and Cynthia. Alethea graduated from Reagan High School in San Antonio and then The Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.
She was a National Champion target shooter, a commercial vessel pilot, and a Naval Officer. She was a talented mixed medium artist, creating murals on some of the vessels she served on. Alethea loved the water, was an avid boater, and an accomplished county/western dancer.
A successful entrepreneur, Alethea touched the community through many charitable acts performed through her business and with her fiancée.
She was predeceased by her father, Vernon in 2011. Alethea's smile will always be remembered by her mother, Cynthia; brother, Charles; grandmother, Teddie; uncles, Richard aunts, Carol and her loving fiancé, Lucky Kilmer.
