Alex Kweller

Alex Kweller, a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 92, a resident of San Antonio for more than 25 years, died Thursday, August 11, 2011.

He was born in N. Braddock, PA to Fannie Silverman and Max Kweller. Alex was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and served in World War II.

He took pride in his family and was a caring friend.

Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Kweller in 2007, and sister, Sylvia Roscow in 2008.

He is survived by daughter, Sandra Ree and husband, Malcolm; son, Jeffrey Kweller and wife, Donna; granddaughters, Laura Boyle, Diana Ree Reeder and husband, Scott, and Wendy Barker and husband, Ted; great-grandson, Casey Barker and wife, Jackie; great-granddaughters, Brooke and Shelby Barker.

A special thanks to his caretakers, Louis Hernandez and George Martinez, as well as the team at Vitas Hospice.
