Dr. Alexander K. Mills was born May 17, 1956 in Ottawa, Canada. He passed away suddenly on February 18, 2006. Alex was raised in Souris, Manitoba. He attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with degrees in Medicine and Computer Science.
Alex went on to postdoctoral training at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx; Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in Boston. He practiced anesthesiology in St. Louis and New York. In the recent years he dedicated his time to developing new technology for monitoring the heart and blood vessel system. He has developed many patented devices with the Flowave1000 Woolsthorpe Inc being the culmination of his works.
He was recognized for his creative genius and his ability to apply fundamental mathematics and physics to the human condition. He will be missed by many colleagues and friends across the country. Alex is survived by his wife, Dr. Donna Wall; children, Teresa Anne, Jennifer and Robert; and his mother, Evelyn.
