She was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and raised in Tallin, Estonia. Alexandra married Air Force officer, Peter Taylor at the end of World War II in Germany and moved to the United States in 1950.
Mrs. Taylor lived all over Europe, Mexico, Japan and the United States. She taught the Russian language to the US Air Force.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Rutherford Taylor. Survivors: daughters, Victoria Joplin and husband Joe, Sandra Lee Tynan and husband, James R.; grandchildren, Jennifer Reine, Valerie Fleming, Joe Taylor Joplin, Tenaya Desaulnier and Nathan Tynan; and 11 great grandchildren; sister, Lydia Thomas.
