Alfonso Israel Rodriguez

Alfonso Rodriguez took his last breath at the age of 50 on August 28, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on July 21, 1972 to Alfonso Rodriguez and Glenda DeBault in McAllen, TX, and was raised there. On July 3, 1993 Alfonso met the love of his life, Guadalupe Venable, and they were together for many years before they married on July 3, 2010. He was a jack of all trades and held many different jobs over the years. He went to college, was a certified OSHA trainer, and owned several businesses in his life, the last one being L5M transportation. He also worked for Arepet Industries for many years. Alfonso was an amazing father to his children, always going out of his way to get them what they wanted even if he had only a penny left. He will be remembered as being outgoing and funny and as a very strong and hard-working man. He was a very loving husband and always went out of his way to make sure Guadalupe felt loved every day. He made a great impact on so many lives and made people feel important and helped so many people in any way that he could. He always made people laugh and wanted others around him to have a good time. He was very protective of his family and his kids were his world.

Alfonso is survived by his loving wife, Guadalupe Venable; mother, Glenda DeBault; children, Desiree Kinard, Xavier Rodriguez, Natalia Carranza, Malachi Rodriguez, Leland Rodriguez, Joziah Rodriguez and Lyrik Rodriguez; grandson, Mahlon Grimes; as well as 3 sisters, 1 brother, 1 step-brother, 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great-nephews and 6 great-nieces, and numerous other family members and friends that loved him dearly.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Porter Loring West.
