Alfonso M Rodriguez

Alfonso M. Rodriguez, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Alfonso was a man who lived life outdoors, under the sun, and with music always playing in the background. Known for firing up the grill with his favorite music blasting, Alfonso’s backyard was often filled with the smell of barbecue and the sound of joy. He cherished moments spent outside with family and friends, whether it was working on the yard, tending to his garden, or simply enjoying the peace of being outdoors. A skilled craftsman, Alfonso spent his career in construction and took great pride in building homes that would shelter and nurture families for generations. His hands were always busy, and his heart was always full.

Alfonso’s legacy lives on in the homes he built, the gardens he grew, the meals he shared, and the love he gave. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Alfonso is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Rodriguez of 51 years, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, love, and unwavering partnership. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family, laughter, and hard work. He is also survived by his children, Paul (Annette) Garza, Larrine (David) Casillas, Roger (Rosie) Gusme, Evette Rodriguez, Joe Al Rodriguez, Angela Rodriguez, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great children and friends.

A visitation for Alfonso will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
