Alice Marie Richmond Buske, 83, passed away on June 11, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her family. Born on November 28, 1942, in Pampa, Texas, to Fred and Nina Richmond, Alice lived a life centered on love, family, and the quiet joys that make a house a home. She will be remembered for her steady presence, her generous heart, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
Alice grew up in Pampa, Texas, where she developed the strong values and deep love of family that would shape the rest of her life. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures and in the people she loved most. Alice enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking, and she took special joy in caring for her beloved dog, Clovis. Whether she was tending to her garden, preparing a meal, or sharing time with family, Alice created comfort and connection in a way that made others feel welcome and cared for.
Above all, Alice treasured her family. She shared 64 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Terry Buske, a partnership built on devotion, perseverance, and love. Through the years they created a life together grounded in family, shared memories, and steadfast commitment Alice was the heart of her home, a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great grandmother. She had a gift for making those around her feel cared for, whether through a homecooked meal, a warm welcome, or simply her quiet, steady presence. Her family was her greatest joy, and the love she gave so freely will remain one of her most enduring gifts.
Alice is survived by her husband, Terry Buske; her sister, Paula Foelker; her children, Terri Shaner (husband Gary) and Cara Tanner (husband Steve); her grandchildren, Jill Watson (husband Eric), Jordan Dean (husband Nathan), Gage Tanner, Clay Shaner (partner Shay), and Haley Tanner (partner Nathaniel); and her great-grandchildren, Malachi Dean, Dahlia Dean, Noah Dean, and Ryan Padilla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Nina Richmond; her brothers, George and Phil; her sisters, June and Peggy; and her grandson, Gary.
A visitation will be held on June 22, 2026, at 1 pm. at Porter Loring Mortuary North 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Tx, 78232, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m.. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, celebrate Alice's life, and honor the many memories she leaves behind.
