Lucille was born May 24, 1922 in Sweeny, Texas and graduated from high school in Corpus Christi, Texas. She moved to San Antonio in 1942 and went to work at Kelly Air Force Base where she worked for 33 years.
After her retirement she and her twin sister enjoyed many years of traveling and fishing and were very involved with church and family activities. After being a member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years, Lucille considered everyone there to be a part of her family.
Lucille was known for her honesty and straight forward approach to life and anyone that ever met her will remember her with a smile.
She and her twin sister were devoted to each other and were together in every aspect of their lives until Louise passed away in 1993.
Lucille was a hard worker, devoted Christian and proud of her country. Her infectious laughter and many stories will be missed by all. Lucille was truly one of a kind.
Lucille is survived by a niece, Debbie Rogers and husband Tom and their three children of Melbourn, Florida and niece, Rita Billingsley and husband Larry of Boerne, Texas and their three children and six grandchildren who she loved as her own.
The family would like to thank The Laurels at Stone Oak Assisted Living for making her new home there an easy transition where she made many new friends and enjoyed all the activities.
We would like to also thank Eva Cervantes for her many years of companionship and dedicated care giving.
Alice will lie in-state from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning on Tuesday, July 29th at Porter Loring on McCullough.
