Alice Bernice James departed this life, to be with God, on November 19, 2015 at her sister's home in San Antonio, Texas. Alice was born on December 7, 1915 to Agnes Vance Lessing and Joseph Lessing, in San Antonio, Texas.
Alice attended St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, was a member of Catholic Daughters, Herman Sons & Sons, Kelly Airforce Base Club, enjoyed bowling, cards, yahtzee, dancing and being a grandmother. She retired from Kelly Field where she worked as a clerk for many years.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Charles Francis James. She is survived by her son Hayward James, daughter, Jo Anne Cole, sister, Mary Carson, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
