Pearl Pierce, lifelong resident of San Antonio, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2002 at the age of 85. She was the third child born to Joseph and Lizzie Beckner in Charlotte, Texas on September 14, 1917. She was preceded in death by her brother Boyd Beckner, sister Dude Bagley, and her husband George W. Pierce. Pearl is survived by her son, former State Representative George B. Pierce and his wife Debbie, nephew Dr. Jimmie and Pam Bagley of Longview, and niece Gail and Gilbert Kalinec of Gladewater. Pearl was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1935. She was active in PTA of the Harlandale School system and retired from the credit department of Sears in 1980.
