Alice Roberta Schwarz

Alice Roberta Schwarz, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Martha Elaine: beloved husband, Richard Dick Schwarz Sr.; grandson, Robert von Buelow III; sisters: Willie Barker, Iola Baker, Mae Brotze, Urlene Bluhm, and brothers: Gene and Frank Bourland.

In the 1960's in addition to starting and operating various business ventures at Canyon Lake, Alice and her husband were instrumental in the founding of St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Canyon Lake, Texas.

She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Semlinger and husband, Michael, of San Antonio, TX; Beverley Overstreet and husband, William, of Gillett, TX; Roberta Sue von Buelow and husband Robert of Apple Valley, CA; and son Richard Schwarz Jr. and wife, Lindy, of Canyon Lake, TX; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Sisters: Frances Roessling; Faye Lawson and husband Lyle; sisters-in-law Connie Bourland and Beryl Bourland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St Andrew Lutheran Church, Alice Schwarz Dedicated Memorial Fund, 7420 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, TX 78133 or Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.

Interment will be private.
