

One day after our 44th anniversary, she was surrounded by her loving husband and daughters at Santa Rosa Hospital where a wonderful staff did everything they could to save her.
Alicia married Mario Garcs on October 8, 1977 at Notre Dame Catholic church and had three daughters Angelina Annette Garcs, Felicia Ann Garcs, and Michele Amy Garcs.
Angelina married Gabriel Avalos on March 04, 2006 at St Anthony Mary Claret. They had three children: Anabelle Faith Avalos, Gaberiella Olivia Avalos, and Lorenzo Gabriel Avalos.
Felicia married Juan Fuentes on April 04, 2004 at Prince of Peace and had three children; Elyse Ruby Fuentes, Emilea Carolina Fuentes, and Evelyn Faith Fuentes. Michele married Charles Warner II on September 08, 2007 at St Anthony Mary Claret.
Alicia was born on December 3, 1958, in Mathis, Texas to Daniel Arriaga and Carolina De Leon Arriaga. She had four siblings that she loved very much: Rosa Linda A. Gonzalez, Anna A. Dominguez, Gloria A.Ortega, and Marilu Arriaga Sarabia.
Alicia graduated from Tivy high school in Kerrville, Texas.
Alicia was preceded in death by her baby sister Gloria Arriaga who was a year and a half old, her grandma Guadalupe Rojas De Leon, son-in-law Gabriel Avalos and other loved family members.
Alicia and her husband left Kerrville in 1983 with their three baby girls and lived in St Petersburg, FL. After two years they transferred to Pittsburgh, PA. Alicia was so scared when they first arrived in Pittsburgh, PA. and then was so sad after four years when they had to leave to Houston, Texas. Following Houston, they were transferred to Los Angeles, CA, and after two years they transferred to New Mexico.
Alicia worked as a substitute teacher for Belen high school and, also a catechism
teacher at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. After returning home she worked at Sea World for many years, beginning as a PBX Operator then transferring to Marketing, next to the Entertainment, then on to Finance, Supply Coordinator and then the Wardrobe department.
She enjoyed working at Sea World with all her friends and participating in the different activities.
She loved her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, her five granddaughters, her one grandson and
Lillian McGuire her sister-in-law. Alicia loved her parents very much and her nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
Alicia was a devoted Catholic, who prayed her rosary daily with her family. During her 44 years of marriage no matter where she traveled or lived she never missed her Sunday obligation of attending mass. She instilled in her family a strong love of faith and prayer. She lived her faith by the example of her life treating family, friends and acquaintances with grace and kindness.
