Born on January 17, 1927 in Crystal City, Texas she independently and successfully raised six children as a homemaker and was a supportive Army wife to her husband, John Herrera. Her wonderful smile and contagious laughter could light up any room.
Alicia loved socializing, good food, and enjoyed playing games with family and friends. She loved music and singing. She loved nature, gardening and especially flowering plants. Everyone knows she loved people, and above all her siblings and children. She filled her days doing arts and crafts, crocheting, and working on puzzles. Word searches, Qwirkle, and Rummikub were here favorites. Later in life she spent her days on her iPad still doing jigsaw puzzles, table games, and playing Mah Jong solitaire to the point the family kiddingly discussed having an intervention.
