Allen A. Elsasser was born February 5, 1938, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Alvin and Rosa Elsasser, and died July 31, 2026, at the age of 88. He was raised on a farm in rural Kansas, graduated from Russell High School, and Wichita University with a BS in mechanical engineering. He served in the U. S. Army and the Army National Guard. He then went to work for the United States Air Force. He retired from his career as an aeronautical engineer at KeIly AFB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an exceptional woodworker, making many beautiful items for his family and others. He was a member of MacArthur Park Lutheran Church.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Harlan Elsasser, and his sister Elaine Machin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay; his two sons, Allen, Jr. and wife Kelly, and Brian; and his 4 grandchildren, Patrik, Deanna, Leo and Aaron.
After cremation, his ashes will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
