Dr. Allen Roger Hackley, age 76, of Helotes, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Dr. Hackley is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cynthia Rose Hackley; children, Xanessa Hackley and Allen R. Hackley II; sister, Carole Huff and husband Allen, brother, Brian Hackley and wife Susan; brothers-in-law, George Bouldin and Ronald Bouldin; aunt Lois Crutcher.
Dr. Hackley was an ER physician for over 40 years. He served in the Armed Forces as a medic. He was stationed in Germany for 2 years. He was a graduate of the Ohio State University Medical School. He loved gardening, collecting trains, studying ancient civilizations, and listening to jazz. He was a man of science and deeply spiritual. He will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be on Thursday October 27, 2022 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 beginning at 8:30 A.M. with a funeral service at 9:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Army Military honors.
